The mermaid of Crazywell pool in Devon is not often seen. Legend goes that if the mermaid likes you she can grant you immortality, but beware if she doesn’t she will drag you into the water.

Crazywell pool also has a number of other folktales based around it, in the medieval era it was thought to be bottomless, it is also said a witch would reside at the pool.
